Friday Fashion Finds: J.Crew Factory

Happy Friday!

I was brainstorming blog ideas last night and came across a concept for Fridays. Today starts the segment of Friday Fashion Finds! Every Friday, I will pick a store I frequently shop at and pick items I'm currently craving. Today's pick: J. Crew Factory Store.

Scarf Shirt: I love button downs and blouses. This shirt has an amazing detail on the front and is a great transitional piece for Winter into Spring.

Denim Jacket: A must-have for all seasons! I love the color of this denim jacket. It's a lighter wash that has a vintage feel to it. Can be paired with anything!

Mint Sweater: This lightweight sweater is a go to in my Spring wardrobe. The color is an amazing hue that is perfect for the warmer days ahead.

Striped Shorts: A must-have this Spring/Summer season. The pattern is very versatile and is a great piece that can be combined with all of the items in this collection.

Statement Necklace: I'm a sucker for statement necklaces. They make an outfit pop and J. Crew has some of the best statement pieces. The color in this piece would really compliment the mint sweater.

Weekender Bag: Let's face it, in the winter time we tend to hibernate at home to escape the colder temps. Now that Spring is approaching, we're going to be venturing out to of the house. This weekender bag is a great accessory to travel with on your adventures. Both stylish and useful!

Taupe and Navy: A Classy Pair

Good Morning and Happy Thursday!

 

There's still snow on the ground here in NEPA and the valley is supposed to get more this weekend. Although , I do like the snow, it's getting to be a little too much. That's the beauty of NEPA though: the weather.

 

I thought I'd pair taupe and navy together for today's look. There's just something about the combination of these two colors that conveys classy. These neutrals are the perfect canvas to accessorize with colorful statement jewelry or simple chic gold/silver jewelry.



 

This taupe sweater from Express goes perfectly with this plain navy tank. I styled it with skinny jeans, fuchsia pumps and an amazing statement necklace from The Limited.

Happy Hump Day!

 



Today's an Old Navy kind of day! This neon yellow sweater really shines bright in in today's outfit of the day. I dressed it with these awesome slouchy pants. The black and white diamond dot pattern really enhances the sunshine hue of the sweater. I accessorized with a contrast color and wore my favorite cobalt blue pumps and a funky matching necklace.

I guess my outfit brought out the sunshine. Hope it lasts here in NEPA and warms up the valley :)

PArty Down NEPA

Good Morning Everyone!

I'm loving this state tee, by Megan Lee Designs, I recently purchased at Nordstrom. Unlike the popular home t-shirt, this top displays the outline of your state with a phrase unique to each state! Pennsylvania: PArty Down. Very appropriate for my home state. 

 

Today, I paired the tee with camo skinnies, a worn denim jacket, mustard pumps and some nerd glasses. A casual outfit that shows your home state pride! PArty down now!

This past weekend I decided to take a different approach on my blog pictures. The weather was beautiful here in NEPA and thought I'd take full advantage of it. I definitely had fun with it! I headed to some local spots in the city of Wilkes Barre to debut my OOTD. With the warmer climate, I thought it was appropriate to dress in brighter bolder colors. This spring knit sweater from Express has a beautiful bold fiery hue. I paired it with my distressed skinny jeans, nude pumps, and this amazing statement necklace from J. Crew.

Camouflage is defined as using materials or color for concealment or disguise....not in fashion! In the world of style trends, camouflage is the star of the Spring season. The military inspired pattern is popping up everywhere, from the runway to your local malls. Today, I paired these trendy camo pants with an ivory studded pocket blouse and some dainty layering necklaces. I'm also rocking these fuchsia pumps to add a pop of color!

Pattern leggings are very on trend this year in fashion. When they first made their appearance, I was unsure of them until my friend Kara (aka the legging queen) made me get a pair. I'm glad she did. I have worn them multiple times in the two months that I've had them. I opted for a black and white tribal pattern. Simple with the colors yet still a little funky. Happy Valentine's Day!

I love dressing up for holidays, especially Valentine's Day. The colors, by far, are some of my favorite: pinks, reds and purples! And not to mention you can get super girly with patterns and graphics. My pick today, this cute heart tee from express and these polka dot pointy flats from GAP. A casual feminine outfit to spread the love!

Striping Up

Happy Hump Day All!

Let's talk stripes. Stripes are a great pattern to dress up or dress down. They can be designed in so many ways: vertical, horizontal, wide, narrow, faint, bold, etc. This sweater dress from Express bears both narrow black and red stripes with a subtle sequins detail throughout. I paired it with a huge yellow statement necklace and my Via Spiga knee high boots.

I Heart Plaid

Sooo, I'm slightly obsessed with plaid. If you were to look in my closet, you would probably find about 10 different plaid shirts in a variety of colors. There's just something about the pattern that makes me feel comfy and casual yet put together. This plaid button down has a great color combo: red, orange and navy. I styled it with a navy merino wool sweater, these amazing skinny distressed jeans from the GAP, gold glitter flats and of course, a statement necklace. You can never go wrong with a nice statement necklace!

Dreaming of Spring

Good Morning Ladies and Gents!

 

 

Is it Spring yet? Seems like I have a serious case of Spring fever and the only cure is to dress in the season's must haves :) Pastels are huge in spring fashion. Today's OOTD is all about soft colors. This J.Crew printed pencil skirt is an amazing piece that showcases a fabulous pattern. It is painted with many of spring's favorite pastels and can be styled in a variety of ways. Today, I chose to pair the pencil skirt with a soft mint sweater, an amazing statement necklace and these cute bow pumps.

Going to a dinner party? Have no idea what to wear? This dress by Pim + Larkin is a great choice! This shift dress has an amazing fit, not too tight and not too baggy. The sequin sleeves have an intricate geo pattern in royal blue, mint green and silver, which really add character to the piece. I paired it with my BCBG blue suede pumps and some big silver earrings.

Today I'm featuring another Fashion Friday! This Fashion Friday is focusing on the ever-so versatile piece in everyone's closet: the chambray!
