Effortlessly Chic

Today we're talking about effortless style. Some days, I don't feel like putting much time or thought into my outfit. However, I still would like to look put together and be comfortable. So what piece of clothing can do all of that? In comes the maxi skirt. This cool trendy piece is a definite must have for the spring/summer season, especially if you just want to throw something on quickly! Cool, casual and totally stylish! 

I paired this amazing chevron maxi skirt from The Limited with this worn chambray button up. I added some pearls, threw on some flip flops and tossed my mane into a messy bun. It took me all of 3 minutes to put this look together. Bam! A quick ensemble that is effortlessly chic!

We're keeping it casual today on NEPA Fashionista.

A comfy sweater and cool shorts on a spring day is a great way to feel comfortable and casual. This mint sweater from J.Crew is super cozy and lightweight for the warmer spring months. I paired it with basic white shorts and styled it with my go-to statement necklace, a leopard skinny belt for some spice and these comfortable sandals by Steve Madden. A clean, cool outfit with some casual charm!

Take it to the Maxi!

Good Morning Lovelies!

Tis' the season of the maxi dress! By far my favorite thing to wear in the warmer months. I basically live in maxi dresses come summer time. The long cool dress is a very versatile piece in a summer wardrobe. It can be dressed up with heels and some statement jewelry or dressed down with some flip flops and a denim jacket.

Today I'm wearing this comfortable maxi dress from The Limited in an amazing colorful paisley print. I kept the piece casual by styling it with my dark wash denim jacket, yellow t-strap sandals, round shell earrings and my yellow envelope clutch. Perfect for spring and summer, this outfit takes it to the maxi!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

We're back at the River Front today! The area has changed quite a bit since the last time I shot pictures here. The hills are covered with an array of colorful flowers. The trees have bloomed and bare vivid green leaves. The warmth in the air and brightness in the sky bring the residents out to the park. The River Front is alive now!

These purple flowers make the perfect backdrop for my outfit of the day. I paired these navy striped shorts with this pretty, delicate scarf patterned pop-over from J. Crew. I slipped on my old, but comfy, gold espadrilles and styled the outfit with a pair of statement earrings and my Alex and Ani bracelets. The warmer weather is finally here to stay and I'm enjoying it in my Navy Stripes along side the Purple Flowers :)

Happy Friday Everyone!

 

I apologize for being absent this whole week. I've been a busy girl!

 

However, despite a hectic schedule, I was able to get out for some pictures yesterday. And thank the Lord, I shot them just before it started to rain. Phew!

 

Today, we're talking about mixing patterns. When styling patterns, you want to make sure you're working with the right combinations. Choose items for your ensemble that have both a subtle pattern and a more enhanced design. Mixing two bold patterns together or two subtle patterns together can make your outfit overwhelming and/or clash.

 

My pattern choices today consist of this understated, yet sharp polka dot blouse and these vivid coral jacquard shorts. I styled the outfit with my go-to leather belt, a beautiful neutral tone statement necklace, a pair of wedges and of course my favorite shades for the sunny skies! A Pattern Remix that will play all day.

Floral + Cargo

Hello everyone! Hope you're all having a wonderful day!

 

Today's outfit is all about floral and cargo. The skinny cargo pant is huge this season and gives an outfit a casual, relaxed look. I purchased my slim military inspired pants at The Limited, where they come in a variety of colors. I opted for the basic army green hue which compliments this amazing hi-lo floral tank. Floral is also a popular this season and comes in an array of different, colorful prints!

 

I styled the outfit with some nude strappy sandals, bronze tribal earrings and some fresh aviators. I also threw my hair in a messy bun for that extra relaxed, effortless look.

Today I'm adding a little crisp citrus into my outfit. I paired these amazing patterned lemon shorts from Banana Republic Factory with a basic white tank and a navy light weight sweater. I styled the ensemble with a spring scarf, white sandals and my Michael Kors sunglasses and purse. Feeling Crisp in Citrus!

Floral: the print of the season. There's just something about a floral print that make me happy! The trendy pattern is normally designed using an array of bold, soft and neutral colors. This gives the floral piece the ability to be styled with sooo many items in your wardrobe.

 

Today, I paired this fabulous floral shirt with distressed denim. I added some statement earrings and a soft mint pump to give it a chic look. A splash of floral for a beautiful spring day :)
